YouTube Offers Mobile Video Upload

MarketingVOX: YouTube has launched a service for uploading homemade video clips to its site via mobile phones or PDA, reports CNET. YouTube wants to free users from having to be connected via web cams and computers, according to YouTube cofounder and CTO Steve Chen, resulting in spontaneous and candid clips.
To take advantage of the service, YouTube members can create a mobile profile on the site and YouTube will create a unique email address for them to send videos to. Users can use their cell phones to record clips with and email them to YouTube; the clips are automatically posted under the users’ profile.
YouTube says it gets 12 million unique visitors and averages 1.2 billion pageviews a month.
