MarketingVOX: Media giant Viacom has chosen Yahoo Search Marketing to deliver search ads to 33 of its online destinations, reports CNN Money.
Viacom sites such as MTV, ComedyCentral.com and others will contextual search ads from Yahoo’s Panama ad platform. Though financial terms were not disclosed, Yahoo says its standard revenue-sharing deal is being used.
The deal spans many years and makes Yahoo the exclusive search ad partner, effectively shutting Google out of the Viacom empire.
Viacom has sued Google over unauthorized videos appearing on YouTube.
