With Strong Brand Recall, Bar Hoppers May Be a Marketer’s Best Friend

MarketingVOX: An Arbitron study of nightclubs and bars divulged that ads on the Ecast platform, which serves brand messages on digital jukeboxes, enjoyed 43 percent brand recall.
Advertising Age reports that bars and nightclubs are among the top arenas that outdoor marketers consider “captive environments,” particularly for 21-to-34-year-old males.
Of the digital jukeboxes that host Ecast ads, Product Manager Diane Williams of Arbitron noted that users “interact with [them] like they would ads on the internet,” playing with the machines themselves or watching friends do it.
To leverage this happy news, Zoom Media and Marketing, NY plans on expanding its digital billboard network to 24 venues by month’s end, and over 50 in the fall.
