In the past year, two clients launched ideal products to create grassroot movements using something like salons. I placed the strategy with well-tested tactics within their plan. To date, neither has opted to launch the salons. The reasons are the same as you mentioned: Time and money. Unfortunately, if they had moved on the ideas a year ago, I am confident their brand evengelists would today deliver return on investment worth many times more than the initial investments.
