Keep the landing page simple and easy, and forget flash and all other bells and whistles. I want to buy, not be impressed with your designer&#039;s abilities.

Really, for many product-related purchases I am going to research independently (not read the company&#039;s marketing materials) -- so if I am at your product site, get me to the shop, show me some options, and let me get out.
Oh ... and DON&#039;T make me register to view your products -- I can get something from your competitor at the click of a button.
