Website’s Online Games Spoof Current Events

MarketingVOX: AddictingGames.com added a new section highlighting online games created to spoof current events and top news stories.
AddictingGames’ new “Newsgame” channel features games spoofing popular news events with plans to allow user-generated games to be played alongside Atom Entertainment’s own offerings, Red Herring reports. Some previous games, such as Zidane Headbutt and Cheney’s Fury, which have already been played millions of times, are getting thrown into the new section.
Atom, which owns AddictingGames.com, plans to recruit and pay new game creators. Competitors such as NewGrounds already compensate users for submitted entries. NewGrounds pays $250 to the Top 5 games and movies each month.
