<description>There has been a huge trend to have women only establishments which is kind of cool because it is a highly tailored niche product while kind of crazy because you are instantly erasing half of the market.

<description>Really pink or really blue marketing is really annoying.
But I do not think that we are wired by evolution for &quot;traditional&quot; male and female roles. There is a large cultural component.
If you look at our anthropological history, you will see all sorts of roles in different cultures.
A man can have a very strong nurturing side and a woman can kick some ass on the soccer pitch without, in my estimation, going against any natural, sexual imperatives.
That there is a genetic difference (thank god) between women and men but a lot of the roles established in modern society are social constructs. If a social construct does not really work, it can adapt.
It cannot get me to watch Oprah, though. And I am going to think about sex 700 times per day no matter what.

<description>Hi, Andrea. Interesting topic. I am a boomer, so I&#039;ve watched traditional male and female roles change in the past 35-40 years. Women have become more like men, and men have become more like women and... it&#039;s OK! So maybe marketers need to find the middle ground - the commonalities between the two genders.
