MarketingVOX: Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales is looking at options to get the site generating revenue, but not from ads, reports Reuters.
Wales has long held firm to his stance that Wikipedia should remain ad-free. But he is reportedly looking at adding games or other features that would begin to bring in some form of revenue. That revenue is needed to bridge the gap between donations and expenses.
Wales said Wikipedia could have advertising at some point in the future but continues to see it as not the best option now.
