MediaBuyerPlanner: Wal-Mart has evidence that proves its claim that ousted executives Julie Roehm and Sean Womack had an extramarital affair, the retail giant claims.
The company has “irrefutable and admissible evidence of the relationship,” Wal-Mart representative Mona Williams is quoted as saying in New York magazine (via Adweek). “I would not tell you this if we didn’t know it was true.”
Womack and Roehm were let go in December after both allegedly violated Wal-Mart’s ethics codes, and Roehm has filed suit against Wal-Mart claiming the company breached her contract and damaged her reputation.
Wal-Mart claims that Roehm acted inappropriately with potential Wal-Mart agencies during a review process. The company’s relationship with one of the agencies, Draft FCB, was also terminated. The other, The Martin Agency, was invited to bid for the review again, and won.
