Vehicle Wrapping to Offer Real-Time Podcast Marketing

(MediaBuyerPlanner) SkinzWraps, a full-service vehicle wrapping company, has announced an exclusive distribution agreement with Sonnet Technologies that uses Sonnet’s iPod FM transmitter, the PodFreq, to podcast an advertiser’s music or message in real time from one moving vehicle to another.

“We can now offer our music clients, such as Universal Records, yet another way to get their artists’ music heard and to ultimately sell more records,” said Peter C. Salaverry, CEO and Chairman of SkinzWraps. “It’s a new technology, really, that opens the door to an entirely novel way of delivering a client’s message to the consumer at a time when they would otherwise just be sitting in traffic.”
The transmitter range is currently up to 35 feet, according to Sonnet, and the sound quality is superior to other FM transmitters because it originates from the dock instead of the headphone jack and because its premium quality components are purpose-built for FM transmission. For the program, a select radio frequency will be integrated into the wrap design and prompt anyone in range to tune in to the music or message.
