MediaBuyerPlanner: USA Today is hoping to extend its brand by moving into longer-form publications, and has announced license agreements with six U.S. book publishers.
The topics of the books will vary, but all will feature art and content from the newspaper, writes MediaPost.
With Nolo, a publisher of legal information, USA Today will produce a 12-book series on business and legal advice. Sports Publishing and USA Today will co-produce 25 Years of USA Today and A Year in Sports, 2007. Other partnerships include Sterling Publishing, Andrews McMeel, and Mead Westvaco.
