Trade Shows Outpace B-to-B Ad Revenue Growth


MediaBuyerPlanner: Trade show revenue rose in the first quarter of 2007 compared to Q1 06, while b-to-b ad pages and revenue fell, according to American Business Media.
Trade show revenue rose 5.3 percent and attendance grew 3.1 percent, writes BtoB. Ad pages dropped 2.91 percent and ad revenue fell 1.16 percent.
Ad categories that did well in the b-to-b sector included architecture, design and lighting (up 10.7 percent in ad revenue and 7.3 percent in ad pages), professional services (up 9.4 percent and 2.28 percent respectively) and resources, environment and utilities (up 8.25 percent and 2.2 percent respectively).
