MarketingVOX: Women’s online community iVillage and wedding site TheKnot.com are teaming up to create a new iVillage Weddings channel, with content produced by TheKnot’s editorial staff.
The new channel, which is to launch during the second quarter of 2007, will feature co-branded versions of many of TheKnot’s popular wedding planning tools, including Wedding Budgeter and Wedding Checklist products, MediaWeek reports.
Additionally, iVillage will provide streams of Knot-produced video clips targeting couples who are planning their wedding.
While iVillage has previously covered weddings and related content in other channels, it says creating a dedicated channel will help better serve its female members who are at a certain stage of their lives.
