MarketingVOX: TheFind has launched a shopping search engine, dedicated to “green” goods and brands.
TheFindGreen.com locates “organic products, products developed using ecologically conscious processes, or those offered by retailers who are actively committed to preserving the environment,” according to DM News.
The site keys in on a major trend. A recent study by GfK Roper Consulting revealed that 79 percent of consumers believe a company’s environmental practices are important to making purchasing decisions.
The search engine catalogs some 190 milllion products from half a million stores.
In November the company will launch a promotion called Color for a Cause, which allows consumers to search for products of a certain color in support of charitable organizations.
