MediaBuyerPlanner: Telefutura, the third-place Spanish-language broadcast network, is showing some gains.
Though it still trails sister station Univision and second-place Telemundo among all major demographics, it managed to squeak ahead of Telemundo among Hispanic adults 18-34 and Hispanic men 18-49 during February sweeps, writes Media Life.
The network also had its best February ever among Hispanic households 18-34.
Part of its surge can be attributed to sports. Its Futbol Liga Mexicana had its best-ever February among Hispanic demos of 18-34s, men 18-34 and men 18-49, while Solo Boxeo also had its strongest ever month among Hispanic men 18-49.
