MediaBuyerPlanner: Time veteran Richard Stengel has been named managing editor, replacing Jim Kelly, who was promoted yesterday, Mediaweek reports. Stengel will take the reigns June 15.
Stengel has also written for The New Yorker, published by Condé Nast, The New Republic, and The New York Times.
He takes over as circulation for the newsweekly remained flat through the second half of 2005, at 4.03 million, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
