Readers of ‘Paste’ Invited to Name Their Price for Subs

MediaBuyerPlanner: New subscribers to Paste magazine are being asked what they think a one-year subscription is worth, and they can subscribe at that price (with a minimum payment of $1).
Current subscribers can also choose their own price at which to renew.
Anyone paying more than the $19.95 a typical one-year subscription costs will be thanked in print, in a future issue of Paste.
“While it’s certainly a bit unconventional, we see it as a chance to get our product in the hands of people who could become lifelong fans. It’s been our experience that once people become familiar with Paste, they turn into loyal readers,” says president/publisher Tim Regan-Porter
Gift subscriptions are also encouraged during the promotion.
