We know Twitter apps, hashtags, trends, tools, tips and tricks. But we understand less about the motivations of users: Why do people use Twitter?
How do its users feel about common practices there? What are their beliefs about Twitter, and how do they view their experiences?
Big questions, for sure. But in a recent survey about Twitter, conducted by MarketingProfs on Twitter, we started to uncover some answers. Yesterday, the story ran on Mashable. The highlights are in the story, below:

Except of course the marketing value of twitter since network is much more developed currently.
But I was a heavy IRC user 15 years ago, when major media didn’t even know it exists.
If I dig into memory a bit, it seems like there’s a lot of simmilar things regarding how people feel about it. Most popular channels/people were respected, yet might not be the smartest.
And there was a lot of spammers (less then now, since administrators were kicking them out
I really don’t see much difference.
Did you know that Oprah’s appearance on Twitter boosts its traffic by 24 percent? Now I know what’s on Oprah’s mind. LOL
