MarketingVOX: Nike has thanked radio host Don Imus for raising the issue of race in America through a series of ads, reports AdAge.
Ads running both in print and online do not mention Imus specifically but do thank “ignorance” for making a conversation about race possible. It then goes on to praise the courage of the Rutgers women’s team that was the subject of Imus’ comment.
A full page ad containing the full open letter appeared in the April 14th New York Times. Follow-up ads were placed on various websites.
