New Indie Music Site Features One Act a Day

MarketingVOX: In the fifties, radio deejays were the heroes — or villains — that “made” pop artists.
That tradition might return if IndieSolo, a new site for independent artists, becomes successful.
Unlike social music sites that feature an undiscriminating sea of bands, independent artists must apply to be featured on IndieSolo. If the site’s team of musical elitists likes a band’s sound, the band takes over the homepage for 24 hours.
Bands can use their 24 hours to promote music, videos, photos, gigs, and merchandise. They also get rated by site visitors.
Former band-specific homepages are archived for users to discover later on.
The site was launched by EyeShout Media, a startup that specializes in niche sites for indie music.
