NBC Sliding Down Spring’s Slippery Slope

MediaBuyerPlanner: NBC, despite a promising fall, has slumped in the spring; all four of its mid-season shows flopped and even its stronger veteran programs seem to have weakened.
Two weeks ago, the network managed to slide to an average 3.3 adults 18-49, down 3 percent from a 3.4 last year at the same time and down 11 percent from the fourth quarter, during which it averaged a 3.7, writes Media Life. That puts it in fourth place behind ABC.
Much of the problem stems from new shows Andy Barker, P.I., Raines, Grease: You’re the One That I Want and The Black Donnellys. The network is likely to replace a number of older shows like Crossing Jordan, The Apprentice and Law & Order or Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
