MediaBuyerPlanner: Author Thomas L. Friedman of The World Is Flat is getting his own online destination, which will be integrated into MSNBC.com, reports AdWeek.
The online destination will feature video of the author interviewing news makers. The first guest will be Bill Gates. Users can also get involved by posting their own content related to the topic, which Friedman then will respond to.
Advertising will be limited to a few site-integrated advertisers, separated from editorial content.
Friedman’s book, The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the 21st Century, explores globalization trends.
