MarketingVOX: A trade group of mobile marketers has issued best-practice guidelines for reaching those under the age of 13, reports BrandWeek.
The Mobile Marketing Association issues guidelines which range from common-sense suggestions to specific best practices. One example includes an admonition that opt-in offers ask for verification twice.
The group also recommends not using language that can be seen as too strong a push to buy or respond immediately.
The MMA established the original guidelines to address past shortcomings. Previous statements did not specifically mention voice or mobile web marketing efforts. You can view the entire document here. (PDF)
