MarketingVOX: Digitas has been tapped by Miller Brewing Co. to work on the Lite and Genuine Draft brands, reports MediaPost.
The choice of Digitas comes as Miller aims for consolidation in its digital work after reportedly disappointing results from Crispin Porter + Bogusky’s “Man Laws” campaign, which has been put on hold. CP+B will continue to handle traditional advertising duties for the brewer, however.
CP+B will also remain involved in the digital work for the Lite brand and will be partnering with Digitas, Steve Sapka, CP+B manager of agency communications, told MarketingVox. He also said “Man Laws” may return in some capacity later in the year.
Miller wants to find ways to engage customers online in natural and organic ways and reportedly believes that Digitas can help it achieve that goal.
Online is becoming an increasingly crowded space for beer makers. Anheuser-Busch recently launched Bud.tv, an entertainment and advertainment portal stocked with original content.
