MarketingVOX: Ad agency owner MDC Partners has named former Ogilvy exec Brandon Berger to the newly created post of director of digital innovation, reports AdWeek.
MDC holds significant stakes in several firms, including Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Berger will be tasked with finding digital opportunities for the firms and has $150 million in his pocket to make strategic acquisitions with.
He will also be able to identify talent that can be brought in or other partnerships in the technology field.
At Ogilvy, Berger was most recently senior strategist for digital innovation.
