This afternoon had the pleasure of sitting in on Chris Brogan’s session, “Successful Lead Generation in a Social Media World,” at our B2B Marketing Forum in Boston. The session was superb and my favorite quotes from the session are as follows:
On corporate blogging – “If you can’t take criticism, your company should not blog.”
On building your network on LinkedIn – “Build a robust network of people who are not homogeneous.”
On participation, “Everybody makes media now.” (He said this while holding up a Flip camera.)
On connecting, “People choose to do things with you because they feel connected.”
Three key words from his presentation: Listening, Watching, Participating
Be social! Join the mix.
