MarketingVOX: Retail chain Kohl’s is launching an online video ad campaign that lets people click on the ad to find out more about the product, according to ClickZ.
The campaign’s videos will allow viewers to see when an item in the video is available to purchase. Clicking on the ad will take that viewer to either more information on the product or to Kohls.com, where it can be purchased directly.
The technology powering these ads, dubbed Video Hyperlink, comes from Microsoft and its adCenter Labs development group. It’s the first standalone product from that group. The ad can be found only on MSN’s video portal.
