MediaBuyerPlanner: Wednesday, the judge presiding over CBS Radio’s breach-of-contract lawsuit brought against its former talk-show host Howard Stern said that the case had settled, though no official statements of an agreement had been released by the lawyers on both sides, writes The New York Times.
CBS Radio filed the suit against Stern with the New York State Supreme Court in February, charging the shock jock with promoting his move to Sirius Satellite Radio on his CBS morning show at the time. CBS Radio wanted over $218 million in damages. Sirius hopes the over $500 million it has invested in Stern and his show over the next five years will lure subscribers.
