MediaBuyerPlanner: Journal Communications’ radio revenue rose 4.7 percent to $23 million, while radio operating income increased 18.9 percent, from $6.2 million to $7.4 million, in the third quarter.
Of that, political advertising accounted for $400,000 of total Q3 radio revenue, writes Radio Ink.
Revenue increased in the months of September, as well, rising 2.8 percent thanks to increases in national, political and developmental ad categories. In the month of September alone, political advertising was $210,000.
