MediaBuyerPlanner: Just weeks after CBS announced that it was cancelling freshman drama Jericho, the network may be on the verge of recanting.
Reportedly, CBS plans to bring back the show for an abbreviated run – eight episodes – at midseason, writes the Los Angeles Times (via TV Barn). If it draws enough viewers, the show will continue.
The move comes following the outpouring of devotion and disappointment from thousands of fans, many of whom sent nuts to headquarters (a reference to an episode during which a character said, “Nuts,” writes Entertainment Tonight).
The return of the show would give CBS a chance to answer questions that the post-Apocalypse show raised during its first season.
