MarketingVOX: Apple didn’t have an exhibit at this week’s CTIA Wireless 2007 conference in Orlando, but its iPhone was the product that had everyone buzzing.
AT&T’s chief operating officer, Randall L. Stephenson, informed the conference’s 40,000 attendees that over a million consumers have asked for information on the iPhone, Ad Age reports. “They want to be one of the first ones to get the next cool thing,” he said.
AT&T will be the exclusive provider for the iPhone via its AT&T mobile unit, formerly Cingular Wireless. The phones, which are due to go on sale as early as June, will retail for $500-$600.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone in January, saying he anticipated selling 10 million units.
