InviteShare Acquired by TechCrunch

MarketingVOX: TechCrunch has acquired the startup site InviteShare, reports TechCrunch itself.
InviteShare works as a marketplace for invitations to sites and services currently in beta testing mode. People with invitations list what they have, and those looking for invitations are able to connect with them.
With the popularity of debuting services in limited beta testing, the site will likely prove even more popular than it already is in its short life.
InviteShare was put up for sale by founder Jeff Broderick last week, shortly after TechCrunch itself first covered the service.
TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington says that coverage wound up creating a bidding war among interested parties and pushing up the price.
Arrington says he was in the process of launching a similar service but decided to go the acquisition route after InviteShare debuted.
