Google Upgrades Enterprise Search, Adds Security Measures

MarketingVOX: Google has added security measures to its Mini enterprise search appliance, allowing companies to safely and simultaneously search public information as well as private info on their networks.
The upgrade means that Google Mini can now be used to index both public-facing websites and company intranets, CNET reports. Previously, mini lacked security measures that would have made it possible to do both.
The new version, Google Mini 2.2, features OneBox for Enterprise, which allows access to information in various enterprise applications and services – including info stored in Cognos, Cisco, Employease, Netsuite, Oracle, Salesforce.com and SAS systems. Google Mini 2.2 also comes with Sitemaps and Google Analytics integration.
Google Mini 2.2 is now available with prices ranging from less than $1,995 for a limit of 50,000 documents to $8,995 for 300,000 documents.
