Friendster Chooses Google over Yahoo for Search, Ads


MarketingVOX: Doing away with the existing deal with Yahoo for search function and ad delivery, social-networking site Friendster has tapped Google to deliver those services, reports SearchEngineJournal.
Friendster’s popularity has withered in the U.S. but it is extremely popular with 18-25-year-olds in countries throughout Asia. Google is in the midst of an expansion into non-U.S. territories, and this may be part of that effort.
