Free eBook: 7 Ways Facebook will Change your Life

So I have just finished co-authoring a book called Facebook Marketing for Dummies (Wiley) due out this summer. It was a very eye opening experience to say the least. But the one thing it taught me was a profound respect for the Facebook platform.

What you are about to see is a number of ideas I have about the future of Facebook. These are not pie in the sky ideas or something I dreamed up – I feel these are very doable.
In fact, I wondered if I could get this eBook out fast enough to share these ideas with you before they actually happened!
So get ready to enjoy what I think is a sneak peek into the future of social networking …

Some thought-provoking ideas, Paul, and I have know doubt that this is where marketing is heading.
I do have privacy concerns with some of the scenarios (giving my Facebook ID over the phone?), but I suspect it could be a generational issue or something I’ll be come more comfortable with over time.
In his recent “Future of the Social Web” report, Jeremiah explains how communities/sites/retailers/etc. will have to gain trust of users over time in order to gain additional customer data (like an e-mail address, for example) to improve its future marketing efforts. Facebook Connect will offer some information on users, but probably not as much as marketers want.
Looking forward to checking out the book when it’s published, Paul!

    @ Bryan
Thanks for commenting – I agree with Jeremiah’s point on how marketers and communities will need to gain trust over time
That will be the key enabler behind adoption of these kinds of scenarios with Facebook
