For Global Glamazons, Ford Models Turns to Social Networking

MarketingVOX: Ford Models will be looking for its next big model through a partnership with MySpace, reports Mediaweek.
Through the popular social networking site, fashion plates can enter Ford’s Supermodel of the World contest, where they can also connect with other hopefuls. People will also be able to follow the progress of each of the contestants.
The Supermodel of the World competition has taken place regularly since the 1980s, but this the first time Ford has accepted applications online. The agency made the move in order to build buzz and broaden their pool of entrants across the globe.
