MediaBuyerPlanner: The FBR Open in Phoenix is one of the richest and best-attended golf events on the PGA Tour, and Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group is expected to announce that it has signed on for a four-year extension of its namesake sponsorship.
The event has been sponsored by the Arlington investment bank since 2003, writes the Washington Post. The sponsorship includes television advertising, co-branding and corporate entertaining.
The event is one of the oldest on the PGA Tour. It begins in late January and typically concludes on the same day as the Super Bowl. It has raised more than $25 million for charity since FBR began sponsoring.
