Great article. I use the alert service, as well. My name is also relatively common. For the last several years, I’ve optimized my Web pages and comments on my name using my middle initial.
Although there are quite a few hits that are mine under the 703 results Google returns for “Susan Heywood,” I am not the subject of the first result. On the other hand, virtually all of the 849 results for “Susan F. Heywood” are related to my work or Web sites.
