Dell Launches Customer-Feedback Site

MarketingVOX: After causing a firestorm among bloggers over its unresponsiveness to customer complaints, Dell is creating a website designed to collect input directly from customers.
The site, Dell Idea Storm, will allow visitors to comment on current Dell products and offer suggestions for potential offerings, AdWeek reports. Site users can also rate and vote on product submissions from other visitors.
Dell said it plans to use the feedback collected from the site when designing new products. “We’re at our best when we’re hearing directly from our customers,” said company CEO Michael Dell. “We listen, we learn and then we improve and innovate based on what our customers want.”
Dell has also added a YouTube-style video function at StudioDell. In addition, the site has channels for IT professionals, small-business owners and consumers.
