MarketingVOX: Former MSN exec Cameron Death has left his post to work at NBC, developing digital properties, reports Advertising Age.
At MSN, Death led the branded-entertainment division, where he helped orchestrate online branded programming. He also worked with Ben Silverman, who at the time was with Reveille. The two partnered on creating original programs and doing other deals.
Silverman is now at NBC and Death will be reporting to him. Analysts perceive Death’s move as one that will make NBC’s online initiatives more advertiser-friendly. It’s also believed Death’s cross-media mindset will help as NBC develops means of making shows thrive on other media.
