MediaBuyerPlanner: Staffers at Conde Nast’s Jane magazine were told this morning that the magazine is folding, writes Fishbowl NY.
According to the Publishers Information Bureau, ad pages were down throughout 2006 by 20.9 percent, though ad revenue for the publication was up 40 percent through March, and ad pages were up 35.4 percent. Newsstand sales were down.
Unlike other publications that have folded in the last year, Conde Nast has made no plans to allow for the publication to live on online, writes AdAge. The September issue will be its last.
