Computerworld Named Magazine of the Year, Best Overall Web Publication

MediaBuyerPlanner: Computerworld has been named the best business-to-business publication, winning the Magazine of the Year Award from The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for the second time in three years, publisher IDG announced today. It also received the gold in the “Overall Web Publication” category for its website, bringing its total awards tally to 13 for the event.
The awards were announced on July 20 at the 28th annual Azbee Awards of Excellence banquet in Chicago. ASBPE received more than 100 nominations for this year’s Magazine of the Year program. Computerworld was named a finalist in the 80,000-and-over circulation division. The judges said that Computerworld is “packed with so much useful information,” and never publishes a “fluffy” issue. They added that what Computerworld does is “difficult for any monthly magazine, and they do it weekly.”
In June, Computerworld announced that it was shown by IntelliQuest to be the most-read enterprise IT publication for the sixth year in a row. According to IntelliQuest, the magazine reaches 1,337,000 readers every issue – 385,000 more readers than InformationWeek and 734,000 more readers than eWeek.
