MediaBuyerPlanner: After nearly a decade’s hiatus, Coca-Cola will return to the Super Bowl as an advertiser, having bought two slots in the first half, for 30 and 60 seconds.
The 60-second spot, crafted by Wieden + Kennedy, closes with the now-familiar Coke Side of Life tagline, writes Adweek.
In recent years, Coke has bought time prior to the game, while competitor Pepsi ran ads within the show. This year, both Coke and Pepsi will run ads during the show. Pepsi will also sponsor Prince’s halftime performance.
