Clear Channel Offers Pay-Per-Call via Bus Shelters, Billboards

MediaBuyerPlanner: While pay-per-call has been slow to take off online, research firm The Kelsey Group predicts that the market for pay per call advertising will more than double each year for the next five years with revenues reaching $3.7 billion by 2010.
With that in mind, Clear Channel is experimenting with the concept on its billboards and bus shelters. Via a partnership with thinkingVOICE Networks, 50 Clear Channel billboards and bus shelter signs offer advertisers the opportunity to generate pay per call leads. ThinkingVOICE partners with online and offline media companies such as Clear Channel Outdoor, to provide a platform for the syndication of pay per call ads across multi media channels, according to the company.
