CBS Unveils Digital ‘Cube’ at 42nd & 8th

MediaBuyerPlanner: CBS Outdoor is rolling out an 18-panel sign dubbed “the cube” on one of the busiest corners in Times Square, 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.
The 4,000-square-foot sign resembles a Rubik’s Cube, and the first advertiser to use the cube is New Line Cinema, touting new films Hairspray and Rush Hour 3, writes Mediaweek.
The cube sports two faces. Each has a full-motion LED screen surrounded by 8 light boxes. LED light zippers continually “redraw” the cube, according to the article. The cube allows advertisers to create unique visuals, but the sign can accept traditional billboard vinyl, as well.
