Broadband Gets Upfront About Vindico and Web TV

MarketingVOX: Video ad network Broadband Enterprises will conduct an upfront presentation to announce five new webseries and a new ad platform, reports MediaWeek.
The upfront session, where the five webseries will be announced, is scheduled for May 17, strategically set during the week that networks hold signature sales events.
Broadband is also anxious to show off Vindico. Broadband expects the platform’s tracking and measurement capabilities will appeal to advertisers seeking standards in video advertising. Broadband submitted Vindico to both the Interactive Advertising Bureau and Media Ratings Council for accreditation.
While members of the ad industry doubt the merits of replicating the upfront sales model for online media, CEO Matt Wasserlauf of Broadband calls the market “a TV market, and we are an extension of that.” He also points out that the “machinery” of the TV world is “about scale and quality.”
