Branson’s Goals for Virgin Brands to ‘Make a Difference’

MediaBuyerPlanner: The Virgin Group of Companies continues to operate in unexpected ways, despite the large size of the business, said chairman Sir Richard Branson at the DMA06 conference.
Branson’s speech was mainly devoted to his passion for environmentally sound business practices, writes Multichannel Merchant. He pointed out the need for a company to use its profits to make a difference in the world. “There’s no point in going into business unless you aim to make a difference,” he is quoted as saying.
The article touches on the genesis of two of Virgin’s businesses, as explained by Branson during his keynote.
