‘Blue Pill’ Malware Harder to Create than Claimed

MarketingVOX: It appears that the creation of undetectable malware is harder to accomplish than originally thought by a developer who thought she’d accomplished it, reports Ars Technica.
About a year ago developer Joanna Rutkowska claimed to have created an undetectable bit of malware she dubbed “Blue Pill.” But, a year from that point, she has yet to produce the software.
Now Rutkowska is being called out by a group of security researchers who want to put Blue Pill to the test. They’ve challenged her to a public contest, pitting her malware against their detection software.
Rutkowska says the current version of Blue Pill is not ready for prime-time, requiring about six more months to complete before it’s battle-sound.
Stay tuned, sports fans.
