MarketingVOX: In a move designed to increase capabilities and client rosters quickly, Aspen Marketing Services has purchased the Townsend Agency, reports ClickZ.
Townsend specializes in business-to-business and e-mail advertising services. It also adds major brands such as Allstate, Capital One, Discover and Rewards Network to Aspen’s roster of clients.
With the acquisition, Aspen immediately builds out the digital marketing capabilities it can offer clients.
Townsend’s employees will be integrated over time into the Aspen structure but the Townsend name will be dropped.
Aspen is looking to compete with large agencies, such as Digitas, with this and the other acquisition moves it’s made in recent years.
