MarketingVOX: Agency.com has selected Philippe Guegan and Steve Baer to head up the agency’s Strategy and Client Services divisions, respectively.
Guegan comes from independent shop Blast Radius to head up strategy planning; Baer is the new VP of client services in the agency’s New York office, filling the position vacated by Adam Lavell, AdWeek reports. Guegan and Baer will report to Agency.com CEO David Eastman.
The hirings are the latest change in the Omnicom Group agency’s leadership in the past year, after the departure of CEO Don Scales in February 2006. Eastman, who became last March, is also acting managing director of Agency.com’s New York office following the departure of Eric Valk Peterson in November.
Eastman is busy combining the agency with TBWA Worldwide’s network while attempting to grow Agency.com’s international business. Over the last nine months, Agency.com has opened three European offices and plans additional posts in Paris and Shanghai later this year.
